Dr Nicola Reid (DC)
I was born in The Netherlands and have lived in Austria, Switzerland, Cyprus, Northern Ireland and many places in the UK.
Caring for others has always been one of my better skills in life.
Leading up to becoming a chiropractor, my life has taken me places, I am a keen skier and snowboarder this lead me to be a ski instructor for many years from my mid teens to early adulthood.
During which I met my husband whom I followed for his Army career. During this time I decided to train as a sports and remedial massage therapist, after having my daughter, I finished this in 2011 after which I felt I wanted to be able to do more for people this lead to the start of me becoming a chiropractor.
I found McTimoney Chiropractic which fitted my approach to caring, it is an overall body approach to care, the technique is fast, accurate but light which suits people from all ages.
McTimoney chiropractic has helped me recover after surgery, and with migraines I now use it as a maintenance care treatment for optimal functioning of my body, so that I can help as many people as possible.
I graduated in December 2016, I already had a job as a chiropractor lined up from Summer 2016 and could not wait to start as a registered chiropractor, before this I was doing my clinic year in a small clinic in Manchester which was great.
I have a keen interest in the development of children and pregnant women as I truly believe that regular chiropractic care will help with the development of healthy and happy adults. I will be pursuing this passion with a masters in Paediatric Chiropractic care in the next couple of years.
Other interest are mountain biking, camping in our VW camper and the military community.
I am looking forward to adding my knowledge and skills to Family chiropractic & physiotherapy centre array of skills.
